"Juke box" by Regia is an obvious tribute to the 1970’s, a time of great renewal and creativity in Italian design, which tried in every manifestation to break with the rational approach of the past and embark on groundbreaking new paths. Colour is the most powerful evidence of this, as are the free soft and rounded shapes.[+]
The materials and colours are in some way reminiscent of that fashion, and represent a break with the minimalism of the last few years and a departure from current trends. All the furniture in the Juke Box collection is made from figured maple, its natural grain pattern highlighted by glossy polyester varnish. The collection comes in six different exclusive natural colours - natural, titanium grey, lapis blue, forest green, cyclamen pink and sunny orange, which are combined with the white, black and sand Tecnoglass washbasins. "Juke Box Light" is the Regia collection designed for young bathrooms, dominated by light, colour and transparency. The furniture is made from black or white lacquered panels in MDF, which does not involve tree felling, matched with transparent washbasins in Vetroghiaccio® red, apple green, amber and blue. There are two different depths for the accessories (36 and 50 cm.), seven lengths of washbasin surfaces (70, 80, 100, 110, 120, 130 and 150 cm.), three sizes of washbasin (40, 50 and 70 cm.), ‘dressing room’ mirrors with light bulbs on display, and wall cupboards with open shelves suitable for creating cupboard space. With the Juke Box and Juke Box Light collections, Regia has created a new style of modularity, marking yet another turning point in bathroom furniture design. Regia has been launching new ideas for ‘single articles’ for the bathroom for some years, like for example the first Juke Box collection furniture in the standard 70, 110 and 150 cm. sizes. Or the Gloss, Box and Trend collections, and the most recent decorative Calice washbasin in Vetroghiaccio®. The addition of the new 80, 100, 120 e 130 cm. lengths has extended the standard sizes of the Juke Box collection beyond their natural limits, considerably increasing the options for Regia clients to furnish their bathroom with character, creating a bathroom in which each piece requested effectively becomes a ‘single article’ with its own specific design. A new interpretation of furniture modularity, allowing each customer to furnish their bathroom with Regia style and design, whatever the space available.
